There are a number of events taking place in Victoria to mark January 26 - you are invited to Share the Spirit at the Balit Narrun Festival, Treasury Gardens - featuring Dan Sultan, Archie Roach, food and craft stalls, children's entertainment, and more ...  To be preceded by the 2018 Invasion Day Rally in the Melbourne CBD.  And don't forget there's the Belgrave Survival Day Festival, this year featuring Gawurra Gaykamangu.

Belgrave Survival Day is on again in 2018. Join us for another day of celebrating the survival of Australia's First Nations people. Music, stalls, children's activities, food and fun. 

We are excited to announce our headline act for 2018. Gawurra Gaykamangu. Gawurra is a Yolngu professional performing artist hailing from Milingimbi (Yurrwi), North East Arnhem Land. With an emotional and resonant voice, Gawurra’s performances deliver a masterful musical sensitivity. http://www.gawurra.com.au/

This event is FREE and all members of the public are invited to attend. It is a family friendly event so please no illicit drugs, alcohol and please refrain from smoking near crowds.

Survival Day on Phillip Island

Churchill Island Cafe - under the big tree

January 26th 12noon-3pm. 

Bring picnic blanket, plate, cutlery, cup and plate of food to share. 

After Story & Food we’ll walk around Churchill Island from 2pm (1hr) and I’ll share land connections and what it means to Aboriginal peoples when walking, sitting and singing Country.
